One booklet to safeguarding child abduction during school hours in Nigeria

There has been an increase in the number of child abduction( and attempts) in Nigeria, especially during school hours. Some of these cases are reported and recorded, and many have not. Interestingly, most child abductions have been recovered by law enforcement agencies, while many others are still not yet rescued. Effort for rescue must be intensified.  Abduction is a traumatic experience for a child, especially girl child; even if they are rescued or and found alive they are not the same. The child has been brutally injured psychologically, abused and assuslted. Such trauma may linger for a very long time. It will take a lot of healing for the child to recover from such experience. Whether in person or online, women everywhere have experienced it in one way or another. And with all the new ways the internet has opened avenues of communication,  online harassment is more prevalent than ever . According to a  study  by the Pew Research Center,  most online abuse takes place on social media . Although men are also subject to online harassment – which includes name calling, derision, and physical threats – the study found that online,  women are more than twice as likely as men to experience sexual harassment .   In addition,  more than half of women ages 18-29 report having been sent sexually explicit images without their consent . Spot on Fake News

Fake news is stoned age news. So if you are wondering where or when fake news emanate from, you will be wasting my time for nothing in a discuss that have no end. This is year and in years to come from now we will be measuring if agenda 2030 is achieved or not. But to my mind there's big connect of the 17 SDGs to misinformation, disinformation and fake news. I have once been misled to a wrong direction in a visiting city I didn't exactly know wheteabout to my final  destination. So I asked for direction from passengers we boarded train with who is, as  claimed are residents of the said city. So I trusted the information as accurate but landed in wrong destination, and worst still, was that the wrong destination exposed me to great security risk. I later got to know that the residents I requested information from, didn't in the real sense knew the exactness of the direction but directed me to a similar direction known to them.
